Women’s Groups & CMTs

Initially, UWCM trained and supported individual women on how to live positively with HIV/AIDS and these women then went out to encourage and support other women in similar situations within their communities. (more…)

Prayer & Porridge

PRAYER & PORRIDGE was initiated by a lady called Sarah Watundu whose husband had died from AIDS in 1989 leaving her alone, HIV+ and with 10 children to care for. (more…)

Rainwater Harvesting

In 2017 there was a severe drought in parts of Uganda and many of the community groups realised the importance of rainwater harvesting and asked UWCM for advice.  As Trustees of Uganda Concern UK, we decided that we would like to support a rainwater harvesting project – especially as this is a community led initiative.

Education

In addition to providing basic scholastic materials to some of the most vulnerable children in various communities, we also fund individuals identified to us by UWCM who without our support would not be able to complete their education.   (more…)

Reusable Sanitary Pad Project
